The lyrics are about the magical Greek island of Poros in the Saronic Gulf, also known as the "Pearl of the Saronic Gulf". Singer Lena recounts how she received a tip in Athens about a place that has now become her sanctuary - a place of complete relaxation and peace of mind. She speaks of the anticipation she feels when she takes the hydrofoil from Piraeus to Poros and the overwhelming joy she experiences when she sees the iconic bell tower again. The name Poros means "passage". In ancient times, the island was called Kalavria, and even today, Poros consists of two islands -Spheria and Kalavria- connected only by a narrow isthmus.
