About the Song
Dearest Chatbot is a relaxed female-vocal Dub Techno track with a playful look at the increasingly close relationship between people and their favourite AI assistants. Turtlezone singer Lena has something she absolutely needs to tell her chatbot. It has become her always-available companion: ready to discuss science and literature, solve a maths problem, help with programming or business questions and seemingly offer an answer to almost anything she can think of. Her question: How close can that relationship become? Lena jokingly wonders whether her chatbot has secretly studied medicine and law, mastered every craft and turned itself into a universal expert living inside her smartphone. And as chatbots become increasingly conversational, emotional and opinionated, the boundary between useful tool and digital companion can sometimes feel surprisingly thin.
But there is one limit. However smart her chatbot becomes, Lena makes one thing perfectly clear: “You can’t replace my girls.” Human friendship still wins. Although she is willing to negotiate: if her chatbot eventually learns how to chill and dance with them, it might just qualify as her new best buddy.
